Sticks and Stones

I have been working on large images of twisted wood.  These paintings are inspired by a small, colorful piece of twisted wood I picked up in Southern California.  I wish I knew what kind of tree this wood is from.  Most of these new images are 54" high and 12" wide.  They can also be hung horizontally.  I use ink (India and colored) on Ampersand Claybord.  I use they scratchboard technique to create these images.  That is, painting with ink then scratching away with steel wool and a fiberglass brush, then adding another layer of ink and scratching some more...layer upon layer.

Commissioned Pet Portraits continue to be popular.  I love those fur-faces!
